What are Lesson Exemplars (LE)

Lesson Exemplars provide a clear model that teachers can study, reflect on, and use to guide their students. This helps make challenging tasks more understandable and less intimidating especially for students who struggle with confidence.

When teachers use exemplars, students become more involved in the learning process. They don’t just complete tasks. They think critically, evaluate their own progress and find ways to improve.

Instead of vague instructions, students see multiple ways to succeed. This creates a more positive and supportive classroom atmosphere where growth and understanding are the focus. Lesson exemplars empower teachers and students to teach with clarity, confidence and purpose.

What are Learning Activity Sheets (LAS)

A Learning Activity Sheet or LAS, is a structured student worksheet designed to guide learners through specific tasks and concepts.
