Lesson Planning
There are set of steps to follow in developing lesson plans. The following are some guide questions to help you reflect and plan your teaching and learning activities.
1. List the objectives for learning.
Identifying the knowledge and skills you want your students to have at the conclusion of the lesson is the first step.
What do I want the pupils to learn?
What do I hope they will comprehend and be able to do by the end of the lesson?
After you’ve described the class meeting’s learning objectives, rate them according to importance. This stage will have you ready to handle class time management and complete the more significant learning goals in case you are pressured for time.
Which concepts, ideas, or abilities am I most concerned about my pupils being able to understand and use?

Prepare numerous distinct approaches to explaining the information to capture more students’ attention and accommodate various learning preferences. Make an estimation of the amount of time you will spend on each activity and example as you plan them.
How will I present the subject?
How can I get pupils interested in the subject?
What relevant circumstances, or examples from real life can students use to better comprehend the subject?
4. Plan to assess comprehension
How will you know that the students are understanding? Make a decision regarding whether you want pupils to react vocally or in writing.
What inquiries will I make of the students to gauge their comprehension?
What will I ask pupils to do to show that they are paying attention?
What exercise can I have students complete to determine whether each of the learning objectives on my list has been met?
5. Create a summary and a preview.
Summarize the major elements of the lecture and go through the material taught in class. You can accomplish this by asking a student to assist you in summarizing them, or even having all of the students jot down their thoughts on a piece of paper on the lesson’s main themes. To evaluate the students’ comprehension of the subject, you can look over their responses. Then, the next session, you can clarify anything that was unclear.
6. Establish a reasonable timetable.
You can quickly make judgments and modify your lesson plan as necessary with the aid of your list of prioritized learning objectives. You can also be flexible if you have more examples or alternate activities. A reasonable timeline will demonstrate your adaptability and capacity to fit into the particular teaching atmosphere.
