Lesson Exemplars (LE)

What are Learning Activity Sheets (LAS)

Learning Activity Sheets (LAS) have many advantages but they also present some challenges. Not all students learn at the same pace, so some may find LAS too easy or too hard. To address this, teachers can create differentiated LAS to match different skill levels. Motivation is another issue as some students see LAS as simple worksheets and don’t engage fully. Adding interactive elements or games can make them more interesting. In remote learning, access to materials can be a problem if students lack the needed technology. Offering printed LAS or making them available offline can help. Teachers should also avoid giving too many LAS at once to prevent students from feeling overwhelmed. The key is finding a balance between structure and flexibility to keep students motivated while they benefit from the guidance LAS offer.
